A social media management package spells out which platforms you manage, how many posts and stories you create each month, how quickly you reply to messages, and what report you deliver. In Mexico, a freelancer charges MX$5,000 to MX$12,000 a month per client. Three tiers with the quantities in writing keep the client from asking for "just one more post" every week.

If you search for "social media manager packages" on Google in Mexico, half of what comes up is PDFs uploaded to Scribd and agency pages with their own prices. They give you a rough idea, but they won't help you build your own. Here you'll find a template you can copy, reference prices in pesos, and an idea almost no package includes: adding the client's website and WhatsApp to your monthly fee.

How much a social media management package costs in Mexico

A social media management package in Mexico costs MX$5,000 to MX$12,000 a month with a freelancer, MX$15,000 to MX$45,000 with a small agency, and from MX$50,000 with an agency that produces content and runs paid ads, according to Thinking Social (2026). These are monthly prices, per client, plus VAT (IVA):

Profile Monthly price per client What it usually includes
Freelancer MX$5,000 – MX$12,000 Posting content, answering messages, basic content calendar
Small agency MX$15,000 – MX$45,000 Strategy, design, copywriting, community management, and reporting
Agency with production and paid ads From MX$50,000 In-house photo and video, campaigns, guaranteed response times

For comparison: a salaried social media manager earns an average of MX$11,070 a month, according to Computrabajo. A freelancer with two clients at the low end of the range already makes more than that, though they pay for their own tools and taxes. What to put in writing for each package

Problems with clients almost always come from something that wasn't made clear. Include:

  • Exact quantities: posts, stories, and platforms.
  • What's not included: photo shoots, professional video, ad spend, after-hours support.
  • Rounds of revisions per piece.
  • Response time for messages and comments.
  • Minimum term and cancellation notice, for example a three-month minimum and 15 days' notice.
  • Who owns what. The accounts and the content belong to the client. Say so from the start.

How to quote and onboard a new client

To quote and onboard a new social media client, do a quick audit of their accounts, send them a one-page quote with your packages, ask for admin access, and deliver an approved calendar before you post anything. The agencies that rank at the top of Google follow a similar four-step process:

  1. Quick audit. Look at their social accounts, their Google Business Profile, and whether they have a website. Write down three specific things you'd improve.
  2. One-page quote. The package table, the recommended one highlighted, and what's not included. As a PDF, so the owner can show it to their partner or spouse.
  3. Kickoff. Ask for access to the accounts (as an admin, never the owner's password), their logo, photos, and current prices.
  4. First month. A calendar approved before anything goes live, and an end-of-month report on what worked.

Why add the website to your package

You already handle the hardest part: the content and the client relationship. The website closes the loop for three reasons:

  1. Your posts need somewhere to send people. When someone sees a post and wants to know the hours, prices, or address, the website answers it in seconds and sends them to the business's WhatsApp.
  2. You can measure which post brought in customers. If you tag your links from Instagram, Facebook, or WhatsApp, the website tells you where each visit came from, and your report gets a lot stronger.
  3. It's one more line item on the same invoice. The client already pays you every month, so adding it doesn't mean starting a whole new negotiation.

If the owner thinks Instagram is enough, send them Instagram vs. a website. For restaurants and taco shops, who you sell to covers what their website needs.

The WhatsApp add-on

According to INEGI's 2025 ENDUTIH survey, 93.0% of internet users in Mexico use it to communicate. If you already answer your client's messages, you know how many questions repeat: hours, prices, whether they take appointments. A chatbot on the website or AI replies on WhatsApp handle those questions when nobody's available to answer. For the owner, it's easy to understand: fewer unanswered messages and fewer customers going to the competition because nobody got back to them in time.

How to present your packages

Present your social media packages in a three-tier table with the middle one marked as recommended, and describe what the client gets out of it, not just the tasks. A clear one-page quote that lists what's included and what isn't cuts down on questions and speeds up the close.

  • Mark the middle package as recommended. With three options, a lot of clients pick the middle one.
  • Describe results alongside tasks. "12 posts" says less than "content so your customers see you every week and message you on WhatsApp."
  • Offer a first trial month with a clear end date, if that helps you close.
